Amazoneregenwoud), also known as the Amazon jungle, is a vast forest located in the Amazon River delta region of South America. Covering an area of 8 million square kilometers, this forest covers an area of about 5.5 million square kilometers, mainly affected by the humid climate. These forests are spread across 9 countries. 60% of the Amazon forest is in Brazil, 13% in Peru and the rest is in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. This forest itself is half the tie of the rainforest that covers the world.

The Amazon is home to a wide variety of species. The forest contains about 390 billion trees, which are divided into about 16,000 species.
